That’s not quite what I was expecting…

I decided to let Athena feed herself with a utensil this morning... Cream of Wheat seemed like a safe choice.

Let's just say, things didn't quite turn out as planned...

Our new Kindle has arrived

Unbeknownst to my wife, I ordered the new Kindle 3 (Wifi-only).

For practically a month now, I've kept it a secret... that was definitely a challenge!

But now that its here, there's no point in keeping it a secret any longer!

Here's some photos I took as soon as I opened the box.

Note: Yeah... please mind the ugly table :(

The old has become new again…

I've imported a good handful of my old posts from my now non-existent blogs and updated a few to fit better on this site (removed images, updated SpiralFrog article...).

Enjoy.

The little baby monster

Our daughter is just a little crazy baby monster.

She loves to eat things... cheerios... crayons.. toys... you name it!

When she's not eating us out of house and home (literally), she's trying to...

  • crawl under tables to play with powerstrips...
  • roam into the bathroom to play with the fresh toilet water...
  • raid the kitchen and play with the neat little roach motels...
  • make a mad dash towards the light from beyond every time the front door opens...

Maintaining Your Computer

I'm running a two week segment on another site of mine, Free Software Online where I'll be going over various steps to (digitally) clean and maintain your computer.

The tools I'm recommending are not very technical, so if you've ever wondered what you need to do, feel free to read my articles.

Happy 4th of July!

I hope everyone's having a great 4th of July.

A glorious day for Americans everywhere as we celebrate our nation's founding by igniting extremely dangerous and combustible materials as well as through the burning and consumption of very, very unhealthy meats.

Mmm... meat...

God Bless America!

It’s just one of those days…

Ever had one of those days where nothing seems to go right?

I just did.

Apparently, we seem to have had a bit of a misunderstanding…

A good friend of mine has been going to the Honolulu Zoo... almost every Wednesday now.

From our conversations, my understanding was that there was a free show or it was open to the public on these days... So... I decide to finally join in and bring the family.

Wow, I must have been half-asleep in our conversations.

First off, it wasn't free... apparently never was. And... his line about "The Wildest Show on Earth". I assumed that meant it was an animal show... after all, it's in the Zoo.

Nope... Hawaiian music. Doh!

Well, at least their guest star today was John Cruz.

The proper way to fly

When I was growing up, I had my fair share of imaginary heroes.

I used to love reading Spider-Man comics that my dad would buy me. Dark Hawk was also cool comic character... and let's not forget about Superman. I mean the man was practically invincible AND he could fly!

But recently, it dawned on me that those characters just aren't as cool as they used to be. Sure, Spider-Man's was a box office success, but only time will tell if the new one will be. Superman, on the other hand, has seen better days. I'm sorry, the last movie that came out felt like it crammed everything that was good in the original the movies into one bad soap opera... they even turned Superman into a peeping tom for goodness sakes.

Anyway, I guess what got me thinking about this was I saw my son pretending to fly through our hallway... and quite frankly, I thought he was doing it all wrong. You're supposed to fly with your hands front and center like Superman... but he had his to his side and pointing back.

I guess Iron-Man's the new flying hero in town... how times change.

And so it begins… again

Hello and welcome to my blog.

For those of you that know me... yes, this is yet another blog or should I say YAB (um, yeah... that seemed cooler in my head).

Hopefully... this blog will stick, and I'll keep documenting whatever comes to mind, crosses my path, falls in my lap, *cough* and so on. Who knows, maybe it will and it won't fall into digital oblivion like the others.

Oh, and for those of you that don't know me... hi.
